Surfer's Dream reflects a personal journey shaped by challenge, persistence, and a deep connection to the ocean. Inspired by the experience of learning to surf, the composition captures both the uncertainty of beginnings and the freedom that comes with perseverance.

As a Deaf artist, I approach this work through visual language. Layered horizontal bands suggest shifting waves and changing horizons, while bold geometric forms introduce movement, rhythm, and balance. The contrast between structured shapes and textured water reflects the relationship between control and the unpredictable nature of the sea.

The ocean has long been a place of reflection and renewal. Surfer's Dream celebrates the quiet determination that transforms challenge into confidence, inviting viewers to find their own sense of possibility beyond the horizon.
