Sunset Boulevard reflects an urban moment shaped by light, distance, and atmosphere. Inspired by a scene in West Hollywood, the composition captures billboards positioned along the street, observed from afar during sunset.

The interaction between fading daylight and artificial light creates a layered visual effect, where reflections and dim illumination soften the structure of the scene. The distance adds a sense of quiet observation, transforming a busy environment into a composed visual experience.

As a Deaf artist, I approach this work through visual language—using contrast, perspective, and color to guide perception. The piece reflects how light reshapes familiar environments, revealing new ways of seeing.

This one-of-a-kind original artwork has been collected and is now part of a private collection.

These billboards, captured during sunset in bustling West Hollywood, CA, were situated at a distance of one mile from my vantage point. Illuminated by the soft glow of twilight, their vibrant images were reflected in the ambient dim lights, creating a captivating urban tableau against the fading daylight.
