Sunset Serenade captures the tranquil atmosphere of Ocean Blvd in Coronado at sunset, where light, color, and environment settle into a quiet moment of reflection.
As the sun lowers beneath the horizon, warm tones of orange and gold emerge, contrasting with cooler hues that stretch across the sky. These layered bands of color create a sense of harmony and balance, evoking the calm rhythm of the coastal landscape.
As a Deaf artist, I approach this work through visual language—focusing on how color, alignment, and spatial relationships guide perception. Rather than emphasizing sound, the composition invites a heightened awareness of subtle shifts in light and atmosphere, where stillness becomes the primary experience.
The composition holds a gentle sense of movement, like a visual echo of the breeze moving through the evening air. It is less about a specific place and more about the feeling of being present within that moment—when the environment softens and attention deepens.
Printed on aluminum, the surface enhances clarity, contrast, and color saturation, giving the work a luminous and contemporary presence.
This one-of-a-kind original artwork has been collected and is now part of a private collection. It will not be reproduced in this format.
