For years, San Diego has shaped the way I see the world.

Not just the coastline, but the people, neighborhoods, surf culture, sunsets, architecture, and quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Living here has taught me that movement is more than physical. It is found in changing light, shifting colors, and the connections we make with one another.

That idea became the foundation for San Diego in Motion.

From August 25 through September 7, 2026, I'll be transforming Gallery 21 at Village Arts Outreach in Balboa Park into a space that celebrates the spirit of San Diego through color and visual storytelling.

This exhibition brings together original paintings, framed fine art prints, and selected video art. Each piece captures a different moment, whether it's a familiar surf break, a glowing sunset, a neighborhood landmark, or the energy that makes San Diego unlike anywhere else.

As a Deaf artist, I experience communication through movement, expression, and visual rhythm. Those ideas naturally find their way into my artwork. Rather than telling stories with words, I build them through color, gesture, and composition.

Many of these artworks were inspired by places I return to again and again, from the beaches and surf breaks that continue to influence my perspective to the neighborhoods that give San Diego its unique character. My goal is not simply to paint a location but to capture the feeling of being there.

Whether you've followed my work for years or are discovering it for the first time, I'd love to welcome you to the exhibition.
